Crowborough Community Church is a group of ordinary people who have discovered an extraordinary God. Together we seek to worship God, become like Jesus and share his love with the world. For us, Christianity is not about rules or rituals but about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What we are
  • Evangelical - the Bible is the inspired word of God, given to instruct us in all matters of belief, life and practice.

  • Charismatic - the Holy Spirit dynamically empowers us to work with him in fulfilling our calling. Spiritual gifts are part of everyday Christianity as it was in the Early Church.

  • Catalyst, Newfrontiers - a global movement of churches prioritising the strength of our relationships with God and one another, the valuing of our different gifts, and a commitment to work together to reveal the wonder Jesus.

Our wider church family

Newfrontiers is a group of apostolic leaders partnering together on global mission, joined by common values and beliefs, shared mission and genuine relationships. It was pioneered by Terry virgo in the 1970's. Catalyst is one of the apostolic spheres led by Simon Holley. We are a family of around 300 churches connected together through genuine relationships and serve a number of apostolic teams who aim to equip churches to raise pioneering disciples that see God's kingdom fill the earth.

How it all began

Crowborough Community Church was planted from King's Church Uckfield in 1997. we have met in various locations throughout our time in Crowborough. In 2016 the church moved into its now permanent home, the Oasis on Beacon Road. Our current lead elder, Jonathan Hayward, took on the role in 2013 after spending 3 years ministering in France, and before that 13 years leading King's Church Cockermouth in Cumbria.
